Tips for talking to your child about sex:

If your child has seen our program at school, consider some of the following questions to get a conversation going at home:

  1. What did the speakers say that made sense?
  2. How is the message you heard different from what you hear on TV?
  3. How do you think differently about sex than you did before?
  4. What matters most to you when you think about dating and your future?
  5. What ways can we help you stay on track?

The numbers on youth sexuality, STDs and unplanned pregnancies can make us want to throw our hands up in despair. But it is up to us to remember the real students behind these statistics.
